Brought up by her mother, Anita Wright-Jung, a reporter for a popular sports magazine, Anastasia didn't feel that she was any less pampered. Her mother worked hard to provide a good life for her, and fulfilled her every need. She felt sad, guilty and disappointed for Anastasia, and in bewilderment at how her father could just abandon them, and blames him for not being present in her life.Dave, or Davon-Ryan Kang, Anastasia (and Sophie)'s biological father and Anita met at work. He seemed polite, a charismatic and focused individual, impressing Anita tremendously. They met, ate out, hung out like teenagers at the yacht yards. Those days were the golden moments for Anita. When she felt she met the man who's only found in dreams, she faced and was forced to swallow the bitter truth. She was extremely happy, giddy with excitement upon her pregnancy, but was pummeled to earth when she saw Dave's picture with another woman in an article. They held hands together and was smiling adoringly at each other, it also showed the photographer loved the snap.Anita felt sad and heartbroken whenever she saw Anastasia, knowing how angry and sad she felt seeing other children hanging out and smiling with their parents' when they'd hang out. In hopes for Anastasia to keep her father in her mind she'd often speak about him or show his picture.----------------------------------Since childhood, Anastasia has never seen her biological father even for once for he was never present. Her mother cajoled her when she'd get upset of people sympathized with her reminding her being a child to a single mother or how she has multiple relationships, telling her good things about him that often resulted in Anastasia violently protesting and snapping at her mom talking about 'that jerk' or 'cold-blooded rat's ass' who left them. Anita felt agitated at one point when heated arguments ensued between them sending Anastasia storm off crying after yelling how much she hated her father who was never here and Anita moping in her room.One day Anastasia took a big decision of joining a famous dance school then eventually auditioning for becoming an idol for a global agency, leaving her mother stunned. But she loved Anastasia tremendously so she didn't protest and gave her blessings to proceed.Anita's sudden demise and Anastasia's arrival to 'Elysian House'A month after Anastasia's departure for tour with the group Anita met with a car accident. That day she was coming back from her office in her own car after submitting a report about her recent news flash. A truck suddenly appeared from the other direction, nearly flying off the road for coming at a fast speed. It apparently lost it's balance and sped towards her car causing them to face heads-on collision. The small Toyota couldn't take the hard impact and literally flew over the bridge, falling and sinking slowly into the deep water. The truck driver panicked and fled the crime scene seconds before the passersby ran to aid the poor casualty from nearby places.Anastasia was out of country but as soon as she got the news via social media, she flew back at the earliest flight. She directly went to her mother from the airport admitted in ICU, her condition was critical for losing so much blood on her way to the accident site to ER. Anastasia stayed by her side 24/7 and did not move an inch unless it is for taking food or follow up with doctors and nurses, fed her with her own hands and talked with her about numerous things even if her mother couldn't move a muscle. During this time she took a leave/ indefinite hiatus from every activities of group.Alas, her mother- she didn't survive for much long and passed away one day in the ICU due to a cardiac arrest in her comatose state. Anastasia was frozen, people thought she turned into a statue.She did not shed a single tear.At the funeral Anastasia's biological father came to meet her, commanding her to live with him and her step-siblings since she has no one else at that time. Nobody was willing to back down as the two individuals fought tooth-and-nail, until Sophie intervened and calmly talked the two out of the argument. She agreed at last, but under two conditions: she won't stay under one roof with him and her step-siblings and will stay separately, the second being if she doesn't contact him he won't call her. Additionally, she agreed on meeting and spending time with her step-siblings often, most importantly in holidays.Anastasia always heard from her mother that she was 'a princess born with a superpower' which she brushed off by laughing. But her mother's premonition came true after her sudden passing away in an accident, and her father appearing in the scene.From that day, Anastasia's new life begins with her 'father' and half-siblings at Elysian House.
